Jarvis App Launched, Helping Businesses Monitor Employee Performance During WFH

Just received initial funding from UGM Idealab

Trying to answer the needs of companies in this time of remote working trend, Jarvis (Jari Visibility) officially launched its presence in July 2020. This application helps track worker productivity outside the office, with features that include employee attendance management with check-in selfie and check-out, GPS-based location recording, and workflow monitoring.

Jarvis operates under a corporate network International Solution Finger. The startup launched in 2017, providing business-enabled SaaS solutions. Their initial product was the Jarco application (Jarvis Collection), created for financial institutions to reduce fraud in payment collection.

Initially, Jarvis solutions focused on serving companies in the financial sector. However, according to the presentation of Co-Founder & CEO Jari Stephanus Lutfi, recently there have been many requests for business solutions from companies in other sectors, including retail, manufacturing, E-commerceand hospitality. In the midst of WFH, they need a system to monitor the activities of company employees outside the office.

Jari Solusi Internasional has received initial funding from UMG Idealab, announced two weeks ago, Thursday (17/9). No details of the investment are mentioned. However, it is known that UMG invest in early stage startups with the size tickets $5 thousand to $2 million.

"With initial funding from UMG Idealab, Jari Solusi International will focus on increasing sales and marketing of Jarvis, as well as strengthening infrastructure to support new product launches," said Lutfi.

In addition to the features mentioned above, there are several other services that Lutfi claims to be value proposition its products. First there is Smartform, which allows companies to create online forms for various needs. In addition, Jarvis is also equipped with a Task Assignment feature to assist team coordination between superiors and subordinates, as well as supervisory functions ranging from processes to team work results. The Jarvis application is also equipped with the Last Location feature to view the last position of personnel in the field.

UMG Idealab Founder & CEO Kiwi Aliwarga revealed, in a separate interview, “Investment strategy UMG Idealab focused on our role and contribution in three main sectors namely fighting climate change, reducing income inequality (income inequality), and develop technology to help Indonesian MSMEs to be more advanced and competitive”.

Started in Myanmar in late 2014 and operating in Indonesia since 2016, the company has been involved in five deals this year with Widya Life Science, Foodtx, grocery delivery startup Zay Chin and chocolate factory Moodco.

In Indonesia itself now there is dozens of services from digital startups who try to solve specific problems in businesses, including SMEs. Some of them have even pocketed tens of millions of dollars in funding and collaborated with unicorn/decacorn. The target market potential is indeed very large, according to BPS data, there are already 64,2 million business units on that scale.
