Blibli Releases Subscription Features to Fulfill Daily Needs

Serving all over Indonesia, thanks to the spread of 20 Blibli warehouses and 32 Hub points in 15 big cities

Blibli released the "Subscription" feature so that consumers can save on every shopping for daily necessities in the BlibliMart category. This feature was released due to a shift in consumer spending patterns due to the pandemic, so consumers are more selective in managing spending.

Kantar Survey “Understanding Life and Trends in Indonesia” in August 2020 stated that 80% of respondents have become more efficient in managing finances due to Covid-19. More in the survey also stated, in meeting their daily needs, more than 60% of respondents are willing to try new shopping methods in order to get the most affordable prices.

This market trend is the background for the company to release subscriptions so that consumers can save money when shopping for primary needs.

VP Trade Partnerships Blibli Stephanie Santoso explained, this feature makes it easier for customers to manage their daily needs with the availability of attractive discounts, a complete & integrated payment system, and free shipping.

Explained further, this feature provides two different types of benefits that can be selected according to consumer needs. The first is a fixed price, customers will be charged the same price even if there is a price change during the subscription period. Second, fixed discounts, customers will be charged the same percent or nominal discount even if there is a change in price during the subscription period.

Both can be selected with a subscription period of up to 54 weeks for a weekly frequency subscription and 12 months if a monthly frequency is selected.

“Thus, the savings received by consumers will be equivalent to the number of subscriptions. The more products that are subscribed to for a long period, the greater the savings felt in the long term," added Blibli VP Public Relations Yolanda Nainggolan to DailySocial.

He also stressed, the company does not charge outside the total order when using this feature. However, if there are additional products outside the subscription package, consumers will be directed to purchase separately on a regular basis or create a new subscription package.

To enjoy this feature, consumers can open the Blibli application then go to the BlibliMart page and select the Subscription tab. After that select the product to be included in the subscription package and set the package frequency. When check out, the payment system currently available is auto debit via debit and credit cards.

In the future the options will be expanded, such as using electronic money. This debit is carried out a maximum of 4 days before delivery and the package will be received a maximum of 4 days after payment.

Yolanda continued, Subscriptions can be enjoyed in all Blibli coverage areas throughout Indonesia. This advantage is helped thanks to the spread of 20 Blibli warehouses and 32 points Hub in 15 major cities. According to him, the presence of this logistics infrastructure allows the company to serve consumers at the national level.

"In addition to the support from Blibli Express Service (BES) own courier fleet, Blibli can make it easier for products ordered through the Subscription feature, where packages can be sent quickly from the hub to the customer's address."
