Venturra Discovery Adds Portfolio Outside Indonesia

Recently involved in investing Infina, an investment application development startup from Vietnam

The huge potential offered by various startups in Vietnam is the main reason why Venturra Discovery then returns to provide funding. After previously startup social commerce Mio, this time they are again involved in funding another startup from Vietnam, Infina.

Launched in January 2021, Infina is a digital investment app, they call themselves "Rohinhood of Vietnam". Just like the Magic or Bibit application in Indonesia, the platform targets retail investors or the general public.

"There are many similarities between Vietnam and Indonesia. We are interested in exploring further all the opportunities that exist in Vietnam," said Venturra Discovery Partner Raditya Pramana to DailySocial.

In addition to Mio and Infina, overall for the country of Vietnam, the venture capitalist affiliated with the Lippo Group already has four portfolios, including Med247 which is a platform healthtech and Vui App platform fintech.

Focus on Southeast Asian startups

Apart from Vietnam, from 2018 to 2021, Venturra Discovery has also invested in Antler and Cove, which are startups from Singapore. Antler is venture builder for startups; while Cove is marketplace rental homes that connect property owners with tenants to offer affordable rooms.

Other countries that Venturra Discovery is also eyeing are Filipina. In early 2021, they provided initial funding to Podcast Network Asia (PNA) worth $750 thousand. The Philippines chosen by Venturra Discovery to invest is a country that has many unique features. Not only the population is large, demographically the population is relatively young, buying power also increasing.

"Podcast currently still in its infancy in Southeast Asia. When we see podcast with the top charts, most of which were released in the past year. The industry has strong momentum, as audio streaming platforms are doubling down on this segment. We believe we can empower creators to improve and commercialize their content through data analysis and production support,” said Raditya.
