Travelio Gets Pre-Series A Funding of IDR 26,5 Billion

Accommodation booking site Travelio announced today that it has just secured a $2 million (Rp 26,5 billion) Pre-Series A funding led by venture capital firm Gobi Partners. Anthill Ventures (Singapore), Kuok Group (Malaysia), Zhenzhen Sun (China) and Travel+Leisure CEO Tian Gu participated in this funding. Previously, PT Horizon Internusa Persada (HIP), as the bearer of the Travelio site, publish mandatory convertible notes (debt securities) of Rp. 21 billion.

Travelio was founded by Hendry Rusli, Christina Suriadjaja, Furia Agustinus and Christie Amanda in early 2015. Initially Travelio was a subsidiary of PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk., but now Travelio has become its own company so that it can open itself to receive capital from other investors.

Travelio provides a wide range of accommodation options, from private property types for rent, such as villas, houses or apartments. As a marketplace property rental accommodation, Travelio also cooperates with global property networks as intermediaries or works directly with property owners.
