Travelio Announces Samsung Venture Participation in Series B . Funding Round

Previously, the company reported that it received series B funding worth 253,6 billion Rupiah

Startups proptech Travelio today (12/12) announced a new participant in their series B funding round. This time it was Samsung Venture Investment Corporation that joined. This means that there are already two new investors involved in the investment – ​​previously there was also Pavilion Capital.

On the first announcement series B funding mid-November 2019, Travelio received a capital injection of 253,6 billion Rupiah. This round was led by Pavilion Capital and Gobi Partners. Apart from Gobi, investors in the previous round that were also involved were Vynn Capital, Insignia Ventures Partners, IndoGen Capital, and PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk.

In Indonesia, Travelio is Samsung Venture's second portfolio. Previously they were involved in series E funding Gojek in last 2018.

Along with this, Samsung Venture also said it would maneuver more aggressively to invest in Southeast Asian startups in the coming year.

It was also stated that additional investment from Samsung Venture will be focused on accelerating the company's growth target in 2020. This includes expanding integration and partnerships with Samsung's conglomerate network, technology, and electronics ecosystem.
