TouchTen Announces New Funding, Starts Focusing on Developing Game Products for the Female Segment

Developer startup mobile game TouchTen recently reported that it has secured new funding for an undisclosed amount. Prasetia Dwidharma, Sheila Tiwan (CEO of Carsurin), and Indra Leonardi (Kingfoto Group) became the new investors in this round. Previous investors CUEBIC Inc. also involved in this funding.

In addition to continuing product innovation, one of the TouchTen team's business focuses is developing game for reach the market  gamer woman. It is considered that this market segment is still often forgotten by developers, while the potential is quite large.

In his remarks, TouchTen Co-Founder & CEO Roki Soeharyo said, "So far game often considered a hobby for men only, but the world has changed. Currently half of the players mobile game is female. Although the data shows a lack of content game that appeals to them, but more girls play game than before."

"This is what makes the TouchTen team even more excited to bring joy to under-appreciated players globally, through games we also love," continued Roki.

This year's game revenue and user base TouchTen claimed to have grown 238% and 93% compared to the previous year. One of the strategies is to develop game based on momentum in the market.

For example, one game which was launched some time ago. Blending concepts puzzle game with a pet lover theme, marketed to users in the United States and Europe. The team is also working on another project, specifically for the Indonesian market which is scheduled to be released at the end of 2019.

"TouchTen has a lot of experience in developing mobile game. Prasetia is excited to join this time, because we believe TouchTen is the perfect team to handle the market share gamer international women. What caught our attention the most is that TouchTen is very data driven in developing game them," said CEO Prasetia Dwidharma Arya Setiadharma.

TouchTen has been established since 2009, apart from Roki, one of the initiators is Anton Soeharyo who is none other than his older brother – now he is focusing on developing the platform. PlayGame.com utilise blockchain to help game developers deliver interactive game models. There are also co-founder Another is Dede Indrapurna, who currently serves as COO of TouchTen.

Ideosource, CyberAgent Capital, GREE Ventures, and 500 Startups are some of the investors who have participated in the previous round.
