Kaskus Founder Releases Statement About Resignation from Forum Moderators

Kaskus has a spike traffic about 30% in the last 24 hours, due to the resignation of several moderators from popular forums. The news has caused rampant speculation about the nature of the resignation among forum members which forced Kaskus founder and CTO Andrew Darwis to release official statement, May 7th around 12 noon.

The main points of the statement are as follows:

  • Kaskus, since yesterday experienced a spike traffic by 30 percent
  • The administrator takes this as a sign that there is still great care and concern for the forum members
  • Five moderators did resign in the last 24 hours via private channels
  • There is no truth to the rumors that the moderators sought a reward or payment for their services or they were released or asked to resign
  • Kaskus regrets that this news has given rise to speculation regarding the nature of his resignation and asks Kaskus members not to believe the rumors

We tried to get more information from Andrew Dervish but he refused, Andrew explained that he had said what needed to be said on the matter. We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops and will update as much information as we can about this news.
