EdConnect's Educational SaaS Platform That Doesn't Just Provide Online Learning Materials

EdConnect, who is originally from Indonesia and is not connected to other services abroad with the same name, calls the solution offered as a complete and integrated solution to help educational institutions. In addition to management, EdConnect also promises ease of information accessibility, provides intensive communication facilities and also provides data visibility for all aspects of educational institutions such as, student, teacher performance and management. EdConnect is prepared to serve various levels, from kindergarten to university.

“Every day we see the rapid advancement of technology in various aspects of life, but this progress seems to forget education. Based on the awareness of the problem, we decided that it was time for schools to start entering the era 'Smart School'," said EdConnect CEO Aswin Tanzil.

Aswin further explained the solutions offered by focusing on five things. The first is the automation of administrative processes, control, report analysis, communication and facilitating teacher performance. One example of an existing feature is the Automatic​​​​Scheduling feature that allows generate daily schedule of teachers and students. The data will also be used as an indicator of teacher and student attendance which can be used as part of the achievement analysis.

This attendance feature can also be monitored directly by parents or guardians of students. In addition to attendance, EdConnect also provides complex matters for the development of student learning outcomes and achievement in school.

“Another example is the Computer Based Testing (CBT) feature. Useful for teachers in terms of giving assignments and exams with an automatic scoring system (automation and evaluation). teacher assistance tools), fast, and accurate. On the school side, these results were analyzed to determine the students' ability in each lesson and the teacher's ability to teach. By being integrated into the Lesson Plan, each child's shortcomings can be mapped so that teachers can focus more on repeating certain learning materials," explained Aswin.

Responding to competition

Providing solutions for education, EdConnect directly jumps into existing competition, both with school management system developers and companies by providing similar services. In response to this, EdConnect tries to make a difference in terms of service.

Azwin to DailySocial tells that his team tries to give the best to the client by trying to understand and fulfill the necessary needs. His party often makes frequent visits to schools to train and ensure the system used is running well.

To further reach out and introduce EdConnect services to the general public, EdConnect plans to launch EdConnect Lite which is a simplified version of EdConnect at the end of this September.

"EdConnect Lite, on the other hand, can be called a class management system and communication with parents. [..] We call Edconnect Lite the Teacher Assistance System. We provide EdConnect Lite for free to all teachers in Indonesia to help ease daily administrative work, so that teachers can concentrate on carrying out their duties as educators," said Azwin further.

Vision to advance Indonesian education

As a service that focuses on education, EdConnect has a dream to be able to contribute and advance education standards in Indonesia by utilizing technology. To realize this dream, EdConnect is currently focusing on how their system can be implemented in all educational institutions in Indonesia.
