The Development of Andalin, Ayoslide, and Stylecation After Participating in the Fourth Batch Ideabox Program

Some change the focus of the business to change the name of the startup

Three startups selected into the fourth batch Ideabox accelerator program celebrated his graduation yesterday (22/8). The three startups are Andalin, Ayoslide, and Stylecation. They succeeded through 120 days of mentoring and intensive consultation with business experts from various industries, both local and international. Graduation also marks the end of the acceleration program which has been started since April 2017.

In his remarks, Chief of New Business and Innovation Indosat Ooredoo Prashant Gokarn said that his party was proud of the three startups because they had shown significant progress in business and leadership skills.

"This program has helped them open up pintu to cooperate with reputable companies in their fields. [..] Indosat Ooredoo has a long-term commitment to continue to support Ideabox graduates through commercial support to market to develop their respective businesses," he said.

Founding Partner Kejora and Managing Director of Ideabox Andy Zain added, "This small batch size helps us to focus more on the individual needs of each startup. We work very closely with the founders and work through iterations of their products."

Through daily support, workshops, and mentoring sessions, they have an important influence and impact on the development of the three startup businesses. Here is a summary:

Andalin

Previous, Andalin is one integration service pintu which focuses on customs to assist small to medium enterprises. The services offered initially were air cargo, small-scale container shipping, and custom handling.

But now Andalin has changed its business focus to the middle to upper business segment with shipping services via air and sea transportation, import-export licenses, and custom handling.

"After going through many seminars, we decided to redefines business models. We have also added people from initially three co-founders, now to seven people," said Andalin Co-Founder and CEO Rifki Pratomo.

Andalin has also collaborated with logistics companies, such as Agility Logistics, BDP, DexTrans, JNE, Samudera Indonesia, and Yusen Logistics. Through this collaboration, Andalin's services can now include delivery for more than 50 international routes. Some of Andalin's users include NutriFood and Wings.

Several initiatives between Andalin and Indosat include offering B2B products to Indosat clients, affiliate partnerships, and others.

"Next year we plan to apply for a freight forwarding license, trade finance integration, WCA membership, and data mining & AI integration."

Come on slide

Ayoslide is a marketing advertising platform that provides incentives for consumers through mobile phone lockscreens, in the form of virtual coins to be exchanged for various prizes.

Application Come on slide itself was only present in March 2017. The development of Ayoslide since its inception until graduating from Ideabox managed to acquire 100 thousand registered organic customers in four months, although in April 2017 it only got 5 thousand registered users.

"In addition, the Ayoslide application has beenclick more than 600 thousand times, 1 million impressions, and has been downloaded 120 thousand times. The Ayoslide team has also increased from three people to six people," said the Founder and CEO of Ayoslide, Rizki Fitriana Sari.

Together with Indosat, Ayoslide provides advertising space for downloading Indosat applications to its users, as well as sending SMS blasts.

Stylecation

Stylecation or formerly known as Seva, is now changing the business model as well as the name of the startup. Previously Sevva was a platform marketplace rental, makes it easy for users to rent online for various kinds of products. Sevva was officially established in June 2016.

The company finally changed its business strategy to focus on renting clothes and fashion that had been selected from boutiques and designers.

"The change in our business model started in July 2017. We decided to change our business focus after we received various directions from our mentors," said Erik Hormein, Co-Founder and CEO of Stylecation.

Even though it has just changed its business, Stylecation now has more than 200 selected shirt designs with high-quality photos. In the future, Stylecation will focus on increasing their inventory of well-known designers and boutiques. The targeted location this year is Greater Jakarta, while next year it will start expanding to Surabaya, Bandung, and Bali.

In his presentation, Erik revealed that the first thing he did as an Ideabox participant was recruiting great people. Currently, the Stylecation team has grown to nine people, from four.

"After that, we learned a lot to fast test and iterate, because the idea will only be useless if it is not immediately applied," concluded Erik.
