Indosat Ooredoo Announces Three Startups Join the Fourth Batch Ideabox Accelerator Program

The three winners received initial funding of US$50, intensive coaching with mentors and other facilities for four months of training

Local technology accelerator program Ideabox announced three selected startups to participate in the acceleration program in the 4th batch which will last for 120 days. The three selected companies are: Andalin, AyoSlide, and Sevva.

ideabox is a joint program led by Indosat Ooredoo, Mountain Partners, and Kejora which aims to raise the potential of Indonesian startups through initial investment funds and provide special awards for startups engaged in the internet and telecommunications sectors.

Previously, 15 finalists had been selected from a series of selection processes that were long enough to take 48 hours bootcamp in Jakarta, starting on February 10, 2017.

During bootcamp, 15 companies are working hard to demonstrate their commitment and potential. At the peak of the event, on February 13, 2017, the top nine startup companies were selected based on the decisions made by local and international mentors.

The three winners will each receive an initial funding of US$50, along with intensive coaching from local and international mentors who are leading business players, access to a network of investors, and get dedicated facilities throughout the program.

Not only that, the winners will also receive support from Ideabox's strategic partners, such as marketing credit from Facebook worth US$80 thousand, infrastructure cloud worth US$120 thousand, IBM Soft Layer and IBM Blue Mix. They will also have priority commercial partnership with Indosat Ooredoo.

"We are excited to run Ideabox in its fourth year because we still see the need to reach young entrepreneurs with blessings by providing them with knowledge, funding, and commercial support," said Chief of New Business and Innovation Indosat Ooredoo Prashant Gokarn, Monday (13/2). .

Managing Director of Kejora Andy Zain added, in terms of public interest in Ideabox, every year is also increasing. Previously, his party held more roadshows to five to six cities to promote the program. The communication is still one-way because there are still many who are not familiar with Ideabox and the digital startup world.

However, for this fourth batch, his party only visited about three cities. There are also more and more fans, as can be seen from the questions they asked during the roadshow that were more critical and the number of applications that came in was booming even though the registration opening had just been announced through media publications.

"This year we implemented a fairly tough selection process because the quality and variety of startups increased from the previous year. We like the solutions offered by startups, because they are wider with the help of technology. We believe that the winner of this 4th batch can grow with additional value through our network and can be accelerated through our program," explained Andy.
