Targeting the B2B Segment, eFishery Strengthens eFisheryFresh Service

holding hands Gojek through collaboration with GoFresh and GoFood partners

After being officially introduced early 2020 then, eFisheryFresh, which was built by eFishery, has collaborated with horeka circles (hotels, restaurants and cafes) while strengthening their strategic collaboration with Gojek. The service aims to open farmers' access to the market by connecting them directly to agents and distributors of eFishery partners. Currently it is present in various areas in Greater Jakarta, Bandung, Purwakarta, Subang, Cirebon, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Solo and Surabaya.

eFishery has also built eFisheryPoint (eFishery branch offices) in 110 cities/districts in Indonesia and has plans to connect local markets with buyers in these areas so that supply chain leaders can be more efficient. For now, eFisheryFresh's focus is still on the B2B segment, by distributing fish from farmers to agents, distributors, and raw material processors. Apart from that, they also work with more than 2000 horeka in various regions in Indonesia.

"Our focus is still increasing volume. Previously we have served many agents and large distributors. In 2021 we want to serve more hospitality, warungs, and modern trade. There are also several initiatives related to new categories and the opening of partnership outlets," said eFishery Co-Founder & CEO Gibran Huzaifah.

Target eFishery

Leveraging data collected in the upstream sector, via eFisheryFeeder technology, enables companies to predict harvests. Furthermore, it is possible to know from the start who the cultivators will harvest X fish in Z area. Before the harvest time arrives, eFishery will inform the agent/distributor partners and horeka about the harvest schedule and collect orders from them (crowd buying), so that when harvest time arrives, the fish can be delivered immediately.

Through eFisheryFresh, eFishery's big mission is to make aquaculture the world's largest source of animal protein. In this way, everyone can get access to high nutritional foods easily and at affordable prices. Some things like business metrics regarding revenue, active customers, until LTV becomes the target of eFisheryFresh. In addition, this year they are also targeting to increase growth 4x from last year.

Currently efIshery is exploring cooperation with GoFresh, marketplace which provides fresh raw materials for the business needs of GoFood Business Partners. Merchant GoFood, which sells fish on its menu, can now get quality fresh fish directly from farmers at the best prices. In addition, they are also developing various potentials that can be done with the ecosystem Gojek starting from GoFood merchants to the GoPay payment platform.

eFishery itself was invested by Go-Ventures in their series B round. Currently, the former CEO of Gopay, Aldi Haryopratomo, has also been appointed commissioner of the startup.

"So far the ecosystem in Gojek which have been collaborated, but only related to GoFood merchants, where we provide the fish. Meanwhile for B2C in Gojek hopefully in the near future it will be available," said Gibran.
