Talenta Acquisition Official Sleekr SaaS Service

Talenta Founder and CEO Joshua Kevin will lead Sleekr .'s Marketing and New Business divisions

SaaS HR and Accounting Services Sleekr announced that it has acquired Talenta's HR SaaS service. All Talenta employees will join as Sleekr employees, while Founder and CEO Joshua Kevin will lead Sleekr's Marketing and New Business divisions. Although the details of the acquisition cannot be stated yet, as an entity, Talenta is now under PT Mid Solusi Nusantara.

To DailySocial Joshua said, though Talent and Sleekr compete on the same wedge, they share the same vision and realize that they have more in common than differences. For that Joshua and CEO Sleekr Kelvin Soh decided to pursue a dream together.

The focus of HR Talenta and Sleekr products is companies with 20-5000 employees. The combination of Sleekr and Talenta consumers has now reached 100 thousand active users. This strategic step is said to make no difference to the services provided to consumers.

Joshua said, "I personally believe the SaaS [segment] is a long game [takes a long time], not a moment, and [relying on] VCs may not be the best route [to achieve the vision] in the region when the B2C market is still mainstream. I believe Sleekr and its backing investors have a vision for the next 10-20 years and Talenta can be a part of it."

According to Joshua, Talenta needs an experienced CEO, or C-level. "Suwandi and his team have decades of experience, which I don't have."

Kelvin and Joshua ensured that all members of the Talent team were absorbed by Sleekr. Suwandi said, "HR software, especially payroll in Indonesia, is very difficult to penetrate, both in terms of product and implementation. We are very excited to welcome 90 Talent team members as part of our team. Their experience, skills, and know-how will provide encouragement which is great [for business development]."

It is said that they now have 80 members of the Product and Engineering team spread across Jakarta, Bandung and Bangalore. According to Odin's research, the cloud services market for SMEs in Indonesia this year will reach IDR 33 trillion (or $2,7 billion).

In the future, Joshua ensures that the merger of these companies will accelerate the focus on developing HR and workplace platforms. Suwandi added, "The innovations we are exploring include predictive analytics for HR, compliance assurance, HR bots and AI, and increasing the mobility of HR admins."
