Supported by Smartfren, Switch Makes it Easy to Purchase Starter Cards and Data Packages

The trend of application development by mobile operators has started. Previously Telkomsel launch by.U

Aiming to make it easier for users to get telecommunication services flexibly, Switch was officially introduced. Through this application, users can purchase starter packs and get internet data packages.

Founder & CEO Switch Ega Praditya revealed, "The way it works is not much different from the process of purchasing SIM Cards from other operators. Only by prioritizing the online process, users can directly download the application and choose the desired SIM number. After payment is made we will send the SIM Card directly to the user's home. "

For payment, options are provided via bank transfer (Permata, Mandiri, and Danamon), credit cards, and Alfamart outlets. In addition, Switch has partnered with digital wallets GoPay and Dana. They also embrace JNE and GoSend as logistics partners.

"We want to present a way of buying with a concept on demand as implemented by service E-commerce. Users can buy the desired internet data package or other features according to their needs," said Ega.

Despite founder claiming that the service operates independently, the Switch application initiative is fully supported by PT Smartfren Telecom (Smartfren). The data packages offered are from Smartfren-based numbers.

"You could say this process sets us apart from other telecommunication operators. Even though we run a business like other telecommunication operators, we want to cut down on the use of pulses charged to users," said Ega.

Similar concept has been launched Telkomsel. Named by. U, the application is designed to make it easier for users to get data packages and other telecommunication services from companies.

While not strictly an MVNO, the concept presented by.U and Switch, if successful, serves as a bridge that Branding running on a particular cellular network can work, especially if it is aimed at more digitally literate youth.

As a sweetener, the Switch is also equipped with various other features, such as news, voucher food, game, and -based systems reward.

"Our target until the end of 2020 is to continue to develop products and present the latest innovations [..] and of course accommodate all feedback from users so that we can meet their needs," said Ega.
