SmarLivestock Experience Story Join "Google Demo Day Asia" in Shanghai

Being the only startup from Indonesia chosen by Google Asia Pacific for the event Asian Demo Day is a valuable experience for DycodeX. Through SmartLivestock, a software development company from Bandung, had the opportunity to compete with 9 startups from other countries in Asia in the Demo Day Asia event in Shanghai last September 2018.

To DailySocial, CEO of DycodeX Andri Yadi said that the selection of SmarTernak to represent Indonesia to participate in the Google Demo Day Asia 2018 event was a separate validation and justification for DycodeX which proved that the technology developed was recognized and provided impact for the crowd.

Competing with 9 other startups in Asia, the SmarTernak team had the opportunity to meet other startup founders and meet directly with Google mentors. In addition to the opportunity to give pitching To the judges, SmarTernak also received interesting inputs for the products being developed.

Potency scale up SmartLivestock

Andri noted that there are around 16 million livestock in Indonesia, but in fact Indonesia is still importing beef to meet the needs of the people in the country. According to Andri, this problem occurred because of mismanagement, which also turned out to behighlight Google Demo Day Asia mentors.

"Currently, other countries have implemented a lot of technology to sensors for livestock to animals. In Indonesia itself there are still not many startups that develop such technology," said Andri.

Still in the process of meeting with local and foreign investors, Andri and his team met with several companies venture capital. This opportunity was used to expand networks and conduct discussions with VCs who were interested in investing.

"In accordance with our target, by the end of 2018 it is hoped that we will have new funding for the Series A stage so that it can be used for financing scale up and expansion to other countries," said Andri.

Tips for participating in Demo Day activities

After participating in the first Google Demo Day event in Asia (previously in the United States and Europe), Andri saw the opportunity that Google gave DycodeX, in line with the company's plan, namely to focus on scale up and provide useful services to many people.

"I see startups that are ready to move on to the scale up, have had revenue, and have done fundraising could be part of the next Asian Demo Day. Focus on services that are useful for many people," said Andri.
