DycodeX Represents Indonesia at Google Demo Day Asia Acara
Focus on developing IoT for cattle "SmarTernak", competing with 9 other startups in Asia Pacific
Taking place in Shanghai in September 2018, the event Asian Demo Day initiated by Google, has chosen 10 startups from across Asia Pacific to be able to give presentations and pitching in front of investors globally.
Among the 10 selected startups, DycodeX which is a subsidiary of Bandung-based software developer DyCode, was the only Indonesian representative at the event.
Dycode X, which is now focused on products SmartLivestock, an Internet of Things (IoT) based livestock management solution, will compete with 9 other startups.
They are FreightExchange (Australia), GITAI (Japan), Marham (Pakistan), Miotech (China), Origami Labs (Hong Kong), SigTuple (India), SkyMagic (Singapore), Swingvy (Korea)
The election of DycodeX in the Demo Day Asia event, after an Open Call was made by Google and the incoming registrations were claimed to reach up to thousands of startups in Asia Pacific. Google then screened up to 305 startups that were still in the qualifying stage, and 10 selected startups that then made it to the final round were entitled to appear on the Demo Day Asia stage.
Startups that succeed in attracting investors' attention in the final round will have the opportunity to get funding from investors worth $100,000 in the form of Google Cloud Platform credits. Venture capitalists who will provide assessments and attend the Demo Day event include Sequoia Capital China, Venturra Capital, and leaders who are members of Google for Entrepreneurs.
Develop IoT for farms
Supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, DycodeX started to develop SmarTernak which is a tool precision livestock farming (PLF). The features offered include livestock tracking features, detecting livestock activity, estimating livestock health, to reading the environmental conditions of farm animals. The data is transmitted in real time and can be assisted through applications on mobile devices.
In its development, DycodeX plays a full role in the development of the system and the tools used, while the government supports the provision of land for testing.
The DycodeX solution is a technology-based solution that is useful for optimizing farms and exploring the potential and problems that exist in farms.
