Spiral Ventures Focus in Indonesia

One of the venture capital that has been operating since 2012, IMJ Investment Partners, has now change name become Spiral Ventures. The name change was carried out after successfully "escaped" (in the form of buyout management) and is independent from IMJ Japan.

Structurally, Spiral Ventures consists of two companies, Spiral Ventures Asia Ltd and Spiral Ventures Japan LLP. There has been no drastic change in management. all of IMJ Investment Partners' portfolio remains with Spiral Ventures, while its Managing Partner and General Partner remain with the former officer.

To DailySocial, one of Spiral Ventures' Venture Partners David Soukhasing, who also serves as Head of Angel Investment Network Indonesia (ANGIN), said that currently Spiral Ventures is starting to seriously invest in Indonesian startups.

"My position is still at ANGIN. At Spiral Ventures itself, my position is as venture partners, a job I've been doing for the last 2,5 years," said David.

Asked whether there will be a collaboration between ANGIN and Spiral Ventures, according to David the opportunity is wide open.
