Seekmi Continues Expansion Plans, Launches Disinfection Service

Founded in 2015, currently Seekmi already has more than 20 thousand workers consisting of handymen, cleaning services, and technicians who are trained and certified. Some of the services provided include AC installation, plumbing, household appliances, cleaning, and laundry services.

Entering 2020, Seekmi claims to have experienced positive growth and is still consistent in providing services and handyman services to people in Indonesia. To DailySocial Seekmi CEO Clarissa Leung revealed that currently the company has launched additional services such as assembly and furniture repair services, as well as disinfection services.

"We have also expanded our services to 8 other cities in Indonesia in the last 12 months, and have greatly improved the matching algorithm to ensure that the best and closest technicians will get the orders. Overall we have achieved a level of quality and speed of service," said Clarissa. .

Asked what services are increasingly in demand by customers, Clarissa said that the demand for installation and cleaning services is currently increasing. This number even begins to beat the service that is most chosen by Seekmi customers, namely AC installation services.

"As our business continues to grow, installation and cleaning services are becoming more and more popular and are now starting to compete with the previously most demanded air conditioning installation services," said Clarissa.

In 2020, there are several targets that the company wants to achieve, including expanding to several cities on the island of Java and providing the best quality service for individuals and businesses in Indonesia.

Although growth has been hampered by the spread of Covid-19, it has not delayed the expansion plan, and Seekmi still hopes that the target can be achieved. To accelerate business growth, Seekmi also has plans to raise funds.

Launch disinfection services

One that has just launched is a disinfection spraying service. This service was deliberately launched in response to the increasingly massive spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia. Although it is still limited to Jabodetabek, users who want to spray disinfection can access the Seekmi application.

Using high quality liquid chemicals and the support of professional technicians, Seekmi provides spraying services for homes, offices and buildings. The chemicals used by Seekmi for disinfection services are claimed to leave no residual odor and are safe for humans, animals, and plants and can effectively kill viruses up to 99%. The price offered by Seekmi for this service is around Rp. 6.800 per square meter.

"The current pandemic outbreak is an ongoing challenge for the entire economy including Seekmi. We have made a strategic decision to focus our efforts on assisting the recovery of affected households, businesses and vendors through our services," said Clarissa.

Together with Habitat for Humanity, which is a non-profit organization, Seekmi raises funds to supply doctors and nurses in temporary homes. In addition, Seekmi, who was handled directly by professionals, also sprayed disinfection at the residence to ensure it was clean from Covid-19.
