Saoraja Hub Held Again, Business and Startup Incubator Program in Eastern Indonesia

A program initiated by Kalla Group since last 2018

After last year Saoraja Hub launched a startup incubation program batch first, this year they continued batch second. It is planned to be held at the end of July 2020. A program initiated by the Kalla Group year 2018 ago I want to filter more fresh ideas and digital innovations, especially for startups in Eastern Indonesia.

Kalla Group's VP of Business Development, Saoraja Hub Damoza Nirwan said, unlike last year, which only focused on startups, this year Saoraja Hub want to invite more people in Eastern Indonesia who have interesting ideas from various circles. Starting from students to housewives, if they have fresh ideas that later have the potential to be developed, they are entitled to participate in this activity.

"Unlike the investment provided by other venture capital companies which only focus on investment, batch secondly, we want to invite more people to participate in conveying their ideas that are relevant to the pandemic conditions and new normal," said Damoza.

Later, lucky startups and ideas from participants who pass the screening process will be entitled to receive guidance in the form of: mentoring from internal parties of Kalla Group and Kalla Business School. They can also get funding that is tailored to their needs to networking opportunities with the ecosystem in the Kalla Group.

Category idea and startup agnostic

Mentioned what startups or ideas attract attention from Saoraja Hub batch This second year, Damoza mentioned specifically that they are not only targeting one or two categories. As long as the idea has the potential to be developed, Saoraja Hub will accept all incoming ideas. Likewise with startups that are currently still in the development stage early stage and need networking to funding to grow, Saoraja Hub is ready to help.

"If later there are ideas from participants or business models from startups that are relevant to the business line of the Kalla Group, it is impossible for us to carry out the acquisition process. However, in accordance with the initial mission of Saoraja Hub, we want to invite more people in Eastern Indonesia to be more creative in presenting new innovations," said Damoza.

Saoraja Hub also invites investors outside of the Kalla Group, as has been done in batch The first involves Mandiri Capital Indonesia (MCI) to invest in startups participating in their incubation program.
