Releases New Look, DANA Commits to Improve User Experience

Enriching user experience in digital transactions, DANA launches DANA v.2.0

Initiated by DANA's commitment to the presence of financial technology which is increasingly essential in bringing about progressive change in society, DANA introduced the new look of DANA version 2.0 at the DANA Tech Talk event entitled “Gold Recipe in Building Experience to Tens of Millions Users” on Friday, August 27th.

The event, which was supported by DailySocial.id, not only explored various new breakthroughs, DANA also had the opportunity to discuss various technological developments that could have a broad impact to enrich the user experience and increase digital financial literacy.

This idea is raised by financial literacy or knowledge and confidence in managing finances which is still low. Thus, raising doubts in the public to switch to non-cash transactions. In the third national financial literacy and inclusion survey conducted by the OJK in 2019 showed that the financial literacy index only reached 38,03% and the access index to financial products and services (financial inclusion) was 76,19%, meaning that this is still a significant disparity between literacy and financial inclusion.

This initiative was also initiated by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic situation. The pandemic has prompted a shift in society in utilizing digital-based services to meet their daily needs. One of them is the use of digital wallet services which continue to grow significantly in the pandemic era.

Report e-Conomy SEA 2020 Dalam Fintech Report 2020 by DailySocial.id stated, Indonesia was able to reach US$44 billion Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) contribution from eCommerce,on-demand services, online travel, and the fintech sector. According to analysts, the Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the growth of fintech in various areas. Subsectors experiencing growth include investment (116%), remittances (43%), insurance (30%), digital payments (3%), and loan services (<1%).

DANA, which is one of the players in digital payment services, along with advanced technology and user needs, has evolved beyond just a digital wallet. DANA has been transformed into lifestyle digital wallet integrated with the daily life of its users.

DANA as a digital financial service provider continues to strive to connect and understand its use base so that the resulting technology benefits are more inclusive and valuable for the transaction experience. One of these manifestations is evidenced by an optimal UI/UX display update.

As explained by DANA Indonesia's Chief Technology Officer, Norman Sasono. “The first thing that DANA will think about is presenting great benefits to users. It's all about where we take customer to a better situation by using technology,” he explained.

DANA's latest display offers a personalized user experience that makes almost every aspect of a user's life easier. The various updates that users have been able to enjoy since August 17 are changes to features that are more user-friendly to each user, the limitation feature to manage daily expenses, the DANA Statement feature which can now be added with widget on iOS so that users can quickly see their overall expenses without having to enter the application, and the last feature is Smart Pay which can recommend alternative payments when the DANA balance is insufficient.

In line with this, the CEO and Co-Founder of DANA Indonesia, Vincent Iswara said, in responding to user needs, security and convenience are the main aspects in every DANA development plan.

“DANA progressively prioritizes transaction security and financial solutions that are integrated with smart technology that makes it easy for users to transact. DANA continues to make various adjustments, including changing the appearance so that it is more comfortable to accommodate various user needs,” said Vincent.

The new look of an application is not just thinking about an attractive design, furthermore, the most important thing is how the service application is able to bring together the solutions needed by users.

Thus, it is hoped that the evolution carried out by DANA with DANA v.2.0 is able to accelerate technology that is increasingly inclusive of all people and brings progressive changes in facilitating various activities to empower people to a better life.
