Recruitment Receives Initial Funding from East Ventures

SaaS Human Resource (HR) Rekruta has announced that it has received seed funding from East Ventures for an undisclosed amount. The investment raised will be used to fund growth through a number of product expansions. Recruitment party projects to get more than 100 paying clients, medium to large, next year.

Founded by Silvia Pratama and Yanuar Wibisono, this service is claimed to be the first startup in the SaaS field for human resources applicant tracking system in Indonesia. The solution offered by Rekruta is considered to be able to ease the company's work to speed up the HR recruitment process and make decisions based on aggregated data.

Silvia Pratama said, "The potential and opportunity for the SaaS HR market in Indonesia is huge. HR has become a global industry worth billions of dollars and still has room for growth."

He also mentioned that Rekruta accommodates collaboration between the HR department and other departments directly real-time which is very helpful in the recruitment process. Silvia claims the existing system can bestairs along with the expansion of the company.

Regarding data security, Silvia said that this service uses an infrastructure managed by Amazon, which has been equipped with a number of security controls.

Recruiters, whose clients are mostly medium to large companies, will use the proceeds to expand the number of team members.

Managing Partner of East Ventures Willson Cuaca, in a release, said, "Recruiting helps companies when faced with resource management problems."

Willson gave an example that so far recruitment through job portals has created new problems because they have to manage (and select) the supply of applicants from various sources.

Solutions in the HR field, especially those based on SaaS, appear to be an attractive platform for East Ventures. Previously they had also invested in Talenta's HRIS platform and Singapore career service provider Glints.
