Sinar Mas Land and Mitsubishi Launch Alice Style Services for Rental Goods

Alice Style can be accessed via the OneSmile application; presents items in the categories of beauty, home appliances, electronics, hobbies, etc

Sinar Mas Land's investment vehicle, Living Lab Ventures (LLV) through Living Lab X officially presents "Alice Style" rental services through the OneSmile application. This initiative is the result of a collaboration with Peace Tech Lab, a rental service provider from Japan initiated by Mitsubishi Corporation.

This is a continuation of the strategic partnership between Sinar Mas Land and Mitsubishi Corporation in transforming BSD City as smart integrated digital city.

Kentaro Katayama from Mitsubishi Corporation also said that the collaboration between the two companies was not limited to property but also life services like this. "Alice Style is a new innovation presented as a solution to realize an environmentally friendly lifestyle concept (eco-living)," he said.

The duet between Sinar Mas Land and Mitsubishi Corporation itself has been going on for a long time. Previously, the two companies also developed a property area mixed use premium and has started to operate autonomous electric vehicles (AV) the first in Indonesia in the BSD City area.

Alice Style offers a different shopping experience by concept Equality and sustainability through a rental business model of quality goods and affordable prices. This concept is also expected to reach all levels of society and reduce the amount of waste resulting from the use of household appliances to electronic goods.

To be able to use this service, users can make transactions through the OneSmile platform, which was developed especially for BSD City residents. Several categories of equipment for rent at Alice Style include: beauty, home appliances, electronics, hobbies, and others. The rental price is set at around IDR 5 to IDR 150 with terms and conditions applied.

CEO of Peace Tech Lab, Inc., Rieko Muramoto also expressed his admiration for Sinar Mas Land's vision through LLV together with Mitsubishi Corporation in providing sustainable solutions for everyday life. "In its implementation, Peace Tech Lab, Inc. continues to be committed to working towards a society where experiences can be provided more equitably through services that are friendly to the wallet and the planet.

Regarding this collaboration, Partner Living Lab Ventures Bayu Seto revealed that LLV is now focused on incubation new ventures. "Here, Peace Tech Lab, Inc. and other LLV partners can immediately create innovation projects by implementing them across multiple ecosystems offline who work with us," he added.

Living Lab Ventures Innovations

Living Lab Ventures' support for technological innovation through accelerating and funding potential startups in Indonesia has become increasingly solid after Sinar Mas Land launched the Urban Getaway Fund. In August 2022, LLV also distributed IDR 57 billion in pre-initial funding to startups proptechIDEAL.

Apart from direct investment, LLV also supports other development projects through the Living Lab X division, a laboratory for incubating and developing startups and integrating their technology into people's lives.
