Eratani Plans Advanced Stage of Fundraising; Launch Eramaju Features

Eratani has nurtured more than 5.000 farmers in West Java, Central Java, East Java, and Yogyakarta

After obtaining pre-start funding 23 billion Rupiah from Trihill Capital, Kenangan Kapital, Kopital Network, platforms agritech Eratani is currently exploring the next stage of fundraising.

To DailySocial.id, Eratani Co-Founder & CEO Andrew Soeherman said, after closing the funding last June, they are currently in discussions with several venture capitalists. No further mention when the finalization of their fundraising this year.

As a platform targeting the agricultural sector, Eratani claims to have experienced positive business growth. Still focusing on rice, the company also has plans to add another new product line in the near future.

Although there are still many challenges faced to carry out the transformation so that more farmers go-digitalAccording to Andrew, with the support of a solid team, market education, and technology, Eratani is expected to achieve its target, which is to have around 25 thousand farmers join the ecosystem.

"All processes must be passed by us so that all can accept and transformation can then occur," said Andrew.

Eratani was founded by Andrew Soeherman, Kevin Juan Tanggo Laksono (COO), and Angles Gani (CPO) in June 2021. They aim for the number one position in Indonesia as a platform agritech which has a strong agricultural ecosystem with services ranging from financing, procurement of goods, processing, to distribution of crops.

Currently Eratani has fostered more than 5.000 farmers in West Java, Central Java, East Java, and Yogyakarta.

Launch Eramaju features

Aiming to provide relevant and targeted education to farmers, Eratani launched the Eramaju feature which can be accessed directly on the platform.

Eratani's mission to improve the welfare of the archipelago's farmers is one of the goals of the launch of this educational feature. Penetration of the use of application technology to farmers is also a challenge for Eratani, the majority of Indonesian farmers are accustomed to traditional farming systems.

The EraMaju feature contains various kinds of information about farming tips and tricks which are described in detail so that they are useful to help increase agricultural yields.

Currently, around 75% of farmers are still using traditional farming methods. They are constrained by many factors, such as lack of education, infrastructure, support from various parties.

This educational feature contains agricultural tips, information on medicines and dosages that can help in increasing crop yields where all the information can be accessed in just the palm of one's hand.

"The Eramaju feature was born when we saw that there are still many farmers who are still carrying out pest control activities in the wrong way. With this feature they can find out how to overcome these problems, with agricultural areas covered by Eratani," said Andrew.
