PopBox Collaborates with Dimo ​​for Payment Solutions

The public can now shop online through the PopBox smart locker and pay with the pay by QR method provided by Dimo

Services smart locker PopBox recently collaborated with Dimo ​​for a payment solution. Through this collaboration, people can now shop online through PopBox and make payments using the Pay By QR provided by Dimo. This collaboration has been established since May 2016 and payments can be made through the Uangku application, Simobi, or other applications that are connected to the Pay by QR system from Dimo.

PopBox Asia CEO Adrian Lim said, “We always try to find new products or features to provide services to consumers through our locker service. […] PopBox is currently also growing aggressively by increasing the number of lockers in various locations, while Dimo ​​wants to make the Pay by QR method a mainstream. So, what we can do is complement each other because in the end we believe in physical customer engagement. "

CEO Dimo ​​Brata Rafly added, “We see a common vision with PopBox to make it easier and more comfortable for people to shop online. From Dimo's side, we provide payment technology that allows people to pay without using cash. Meanwhile, from PopBox's point of view, it is the same as providing convenience and convenience in shopping for products online. […] I believe that we cannot tackle the market alone because it is too big, so we need to work with other companies that share a common vision.”

Through this collaboration, the general public can now shop online through PopBox lockers and pay online cashless. The process is fairly easy. Through the shopping menu in the PopBox locker, you can immediately shop online and pay through applications that provide Pay by QR payment systems from Dimo ​​such as Uangku and Simobi. The ordered products can later be picked up at the locker where the transaction took place or at the locker chosen according to the wishes of the consumer.

The product categories currently available are Beauty & Care, Cosmetics, Gadgets, Household, Snack and Toys. While the list of products that can be purchased comes from e-commerce partners who have collaborated with PopBox.

The first locker to be pilot project of this collaboration is in the Sinarmas Land Plaza area, Thamrin, Jakarta. In the future, the number of lockers with the Pay by QR service itself is promised to continue to be increased in number.

Basically, the Blanja menu is available in all PopBox lockers spread across Jakarta and its surroundings. But not everything is working properly because in the PopBox locker in Pasar Minggu that I had tried, the Blanja menu only displays plain white pages. No products are displayed.

“We are also still learning to understand the current market and are open to anyone businesses who want their products in feature. […] There are still many things that we have to do to maximize its potential,” said Adrian.

PopBox's own smart lockers are currently scattered in the Greater Jakarta area and the number will continue to be added. In the future, Adrian also revealed that he would try to explore the Malaysian market.
