Pomona Receives Initial Funding from Frontier Capital, Prasetia Dwidharma

Loyalty service focused on helping retail stores offline Pomona announced the acquisition of seed funding, with an undisclosed amount, from Frontier Capital, Prasetia Dwidharma, and a number of angel investors strategic. The funds obtained will be used to accelerate product development. Pomona some time ago have established partnership with Grand Indonesia as one of the largest malls in Indonesia.

Unlike other digital services that support e-commerce activities, Pomona provide a more pleasant alternative experience when shopping at malls, cafes, or other shopping centers. With the concept of gamification, Pomona provides reward for users who shop while using their application.

On his investment, Handi commented, "Mediation of physical retail stores and smartphones using location-based mobile technology is revolutionizing the way modern consumers shop today. Pomona has created an avenue that connects buyers, sellers and brands. Everyone can win."

The recently launched barcode scanning feature has resulted in scans of 300 thousand products on the Pomona platform which is expected to help consumer and retailer engagement.
