Grand Indonesia Mall Expands Digital Services, Collaborates with Pomona Application and Smark Parking

It is the mall's commitment to provide solutions to improve the experience of its visitors, while realizing its target as a tech-mall

Grand Indonesia, a mall that targets the upper-middle sector in Jakarta, has begun to explore digital services as a strategy to increase added value as well as service to its visitors by cooperating with the Pomona application and Smark Parking. It is calculated that the average number of visitors to the Grand Indonesia mall per month reached 2,1 million people in 2016.

Before collaborating with Pomona and Smark Parking, Grand Indonesia claimed to have collaborated with the r applicationHailing ideas Grab and community complaint reporting app Qlue. For Grab, visitors can directly order order from spot which has been determined and the driver will immediately take the customer. Meanwhile, with Qlue, Grand Indonesia got dashboards specifically to handle all complaints that come from visitors.

"Essentially we want something that can enhance shopping experience at Grand Indonesia. We are also open to all the potential offered by other startup players to improve the mall visitor experience," explained Assistant Manager Public Relations of PT Grand Indonesia Dinia Wibisono to DailySocial, Thursday (23/3).

This time, Grand Indonesia collaborates with Pomona and Smark Parking. Pomona is an application that offers features that allow interaction between merchants, products, and consumers to increase the probability of purchasing a product. While Smark Parking is an online parking reservation application.

A tangible form of this collaboration, mall visitors who have downloaded the Pomona application have the opportunity to get points that can be exchanged for various prizes when visiting Pomona's partner merchants at Grand Indonesia. There are features like Auto Check In, QR Code Check Inand Scan product barcodes.

This feature allows users to earn points, whether it's when entering the mall, window shopping di merchant, or shop in exchange for gifts. Especially with Grand Indonesia, Pomona launched pilot projectVirtual Concierge called AskMona.

Co-Founder and CEO Pomona Benz Budiman explained that AskMona plays an active role in helping users get the latest information about outlets, events, film schedules, as well as recommendations for ongoing promos at Grand Indonesia.

"So now, through the features that Pomona offers, every shopping activity includes window shopping be rewarded," he said.

In addition to Grand Indonesia, Pomona has collaborated with dozens of malls located in the Greater Jakarta area. Total merchantit has already reached the range of 300 merchants.

Meanwhile, from the application side SmartParking. Visitors can make parking reservations up to one hour before arrival. Users will immediately find out online how many parking slots are still available.

The fee required to enjoy this service is IDR 40, not including the hourly parking fee. This fee will be deducted automatically through the Doku account which is the payment partner of Smark Parking.

The parking location is specially made and exclusive, while this is only available in the Basement 1 East Mall Grand Indonesia area. As for the initial step, the new parking slots provided by Grand Indonesia for Smark Parking are 60 slots.

In the future, the number will be increased according to demand visitors. The total capacity of the available parking slots at Grand Indonesia reaches 4.348 slots.

Smark Parking Co-Founder Kemal Putra said the collaboration between Smark Parking and Grand Indonesia was the first partnership in the company's business. Smark Parking is still relatively new, the company was only founded on March 3, 2017.

"Difficulty finding parking is a complaint that always comes from visitors. From the results of our study, Grand Indonesia visitors are willing to spend more to get a parking slot. For Valet services, the cost is around Rp. 60 thousand, even VIP Valet can reach Rp. 150 thousand. It's that easy people are willing to spend money to get parking. With Smark, it is hoped that finding parking will be easier," he explained to DailySocial.

In the future, Smark Parking will continue to add other strategic partnerships with various parties. It's just that potential partners who will be targeted move more for public facilities such as airports, on-street parking, and malls.
