Focusing on School Digitization, Pintro Prepares "Educational Institution Marketplace"

Offers ready-to-use school management SaaS whose business model is transaction-based

The rapid growth of the digital world and technology has driven innovation from various sectors, and this is no exception education sector. According to the calculation of the Ministry of Education and Culture, there are 300 thousand schools in Indonesia with 45 million students. Meanwhile, there are more than 4 universities in Indonesia with 7 million students.

Pintro, as one of the players in this sector, tries to give a breakthrough by presenting a "marketplace educational institutions", especially the transformation of SaaS-based school management.

Founder and CEO paint Sharif Hidayat to DailySocial said, "For more than ten years we have been developing solutions in the education sector. We feel that we are mature enough in terms of technology and systems, so when it comes to integration, the process will be more complicated. seamless."

Service form

Previously, PT Indoglobal Nusa Persada was an IT company that focused on solutions back end in educational institutions. More or less the last three years, they started to enter the realm front end. Pintro itself is brand which was introduced in early 2019.

Pintro is a digital platform for the application of a modern SaaS-based administration and management system for educational institutions that integrates all educational services in one dashboards. Seeing the growing financial technology industry, they tried to integrate it with the features available on the platform in the form of an e-payment solution.

There are two types of products offered. The first is co-brands, a solution all-in-one to facilitate digital transformation in various educational institutions. Some of their flagship features are smart dashboard as well as QR Code-based payments and multi-channel.

Currently they have served 200 schools, with the co-branding, in the scope of the islands of Java and Sumatra, including Al-Azhar and ESMOD Jakarta.

"Because the bureaucracy of public schools tends to be more complex, we are currently targeting as many private schools as possible to use our services immediately," added Syarif.

The second one is marketplace educational institutions which was introduced early October 2019. This feature is free up front for every educational institution that uses it. Pintro wearing fee for every transaction that occurs, for example the use of the tuition payment feature. Compared to version co-branding, there are some features that are limited.

It is claimed that dozens of educational institutions around Jabodetabek have joined this marketplace platform with 3000 student users. Some of the features available on this marketplace platform are e-enrollment, e-payment, e-billing, e-bookstore, e-classroom, and e-communication.

2020 plan

On the product side, the Pintro team will complement the existing features in their marketplace platform by adding edumart and edu-donation features. Edumart itself will contain offers related to the needs of the world of education, in collaboration with institutions in schools such as cooperatives. Meanwhile, e-donation is an educational donation feature that aims to help children who want to get a better education and build educational infrastructure in remote areas.

The company has also collaborated with non-bank financial institutions, such as BFI, in the realm of infrastructure development for educational institutions, and Smart targeting parents with the "School Now, Pay Later" campaign.

"So that in the end, an integrated educational ecosystem can be formed," concluded Syarif.
