White Horse Taxi Company Collaborates with On-Demand System Provider

Online transportation is now transformed into a service that is loved by the community as well as making conventional taxi entrepreneurs dizzy. In 2016, White Horse is trying to transform from a conventional taxi service to an online taxi. This is because their profits have decreased quite drastically in the 2015 period. If in 2014 they managed to get a profit of Rp 96,14 billion in 2015 it fell more than half to Rp 34,18.

As reported by SWA, White Horse President Director Angreta Chandra said the transformation step taken was to optimize non-productive fleets to be able to work with online transportation companies.

So far in 2016 White Horse has reduced 200 taxi fleets from a total of 700 fleets in the previous year. Now the composition of the White Horse taxi fleet consists of 200 executive taxis and 300 regular taxis.

Previously in April, through its subsidiary, PT Panorama Mitra Sarana White Horse, it had collaborated with Go-Car in terms of providing business licenses and operating permits for rental transportation on behalf of White Horse to individual Go-Car partners.

It is quite interesting to see the various strategies of conventional taxi companies in response to the presence of online transportation services. Some have decided to update their application to make it easier and more convenient to use, some have finally collaborated with online transportation service providers. This form of maneuver makes more sense than carrying out a large-scale demonstration which ends up harming many parties like some time ago.
