Leap, Telkom's Way to Accelerate Indonesia's Digitalization

State-owned companies engaged in services Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the telecommunications network, Telkom Indonesia, is now starting to transform into Digital Telco in order to meet industry developments and its commitment to accelerate the digitization of various sectors in Indonesia.

To make it happen, Telkom Indonesia recently officially introduced Leap as a new face at once umbrella brand representing Telkom Digital Business, in March 2022. 

Regarding Leap's own mission, Director of Digital Business Telkom, Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid said Leap supports the growth of the digital ecosystem in Indonesia and the potential for Leap in the future is very large as a driving force to support the acceleration and digital sovereignty of the country.

"The potential is huge and it's incredible for that. Leap Telkom accelerates the digital ecosystem, digitalization is carried out from downstream to upstream, especially in critical sectors in Indonesia," he explained.

Present digital product innovation

Leap is ready to help digital acceleration by setting up an inclusive ecosystem that oversees a variety of superior products and innovative solutions in critical sectors such as agriculture, MSMEs, big data, education, and logistics. There are quite a number of digital products that enliven Leap's digital ecosystem. The eight featured products are: Agree, Antares IoT, BigBox, Logee, MyIndihomeX, MySooltan, PaDi UMKM, and Pijar Mahir. 

The Pijar Mahir digital product itself is one of the main official platforms trusted by the Indonesian government in supporting the Pre-Employment Card program to develop community skills. So far, the digital platform has more than 9000 users spread throughout Indonesia. 

The presence of these digital products is indeed expected to be an agent to expand the role of Telkom Indonesia in helping facilitate services to people throughout Indonesia.  

Realizing digitalization through various innovations and digital acceleration, Leap will also accelerate Indonesia's digital ecosystem through collaboration with the government, local champion and global technology giants.

Leap's vision of encouraging the achievement of Indonesia's digital sovereignty cannot be separated from the cold hands of Muhammad Fajrin Rasyid as Director of Digital Business Telkom. Having been in the digital world for a long time, Fajrin Rasyid is widely known for his work in more than eight years establishing and growing e-commerce Bukalapak together with Ahmad Zacky.  

Due to his experience so far, Fajrin Rasyid's name has even been included in Fortune Indonesia 2022 Magazine Fortune 40 Under 40, a list of Indonesian figures who are capable of becoming agents of change. Plus this year he also won an award as Best Chief Digital Business Officer from the Digitech Awards, 2022.

Under his leadership, Leap has optimistic aspirations not only for the country but also being able to be on the same level as developed countries.
