Jogja Digital Valley Releases Yogyakarta Digital Industry Infographic on its First Anniversary Celebration

Yesterday (21/08) Jogja Digital Valley (JDV) celebrates its first anniversary after being officially established for one year. Welcoming this first anniversary, JDV held a series of events and at the peak of the celebration held on Thursday night JDV launched two infographics about statistics on the creative digital industry (digital startups and Information Technology companies) and statistics on Human Resources (HR) of activists in the digital creative industry. in Yogyakarta.

JDV was first inaugurated by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X on August 21, 2013 as coworkingspace and Telkom Indonesia's second business incubator after Bandung Digital Valley (BDV). JDV was developed to complement the digital creative ecosystem that aims to increase the acceleration of the number of software-based creative product developers in the Yogyakarta and surrounding areas.

On the first anniversary with the theme "JDV 1.0: Empowering Digital Industries in Jogja", there were four main events held, namely the 2014 Jogja Digital Creative Industry Census, Jogja Geek Job Fair, Jogja Game Jam 48, and JDV 1.0 Anniversary Party as part of the event. peak event.

This time the digital creative industry census in Yogyakarta was held in collaboration with the Merah Institute. The census, which was conducted online on July 21 - August 10, aims to introduce, build networks and advance the digital creative industry in Yogyakarta. The results of the census were officially launched in conjunction with the highlight of the JDV 1.0 Anniversary Party by the Executive Director of JDV, M. Adietya Arief Nugraha.

This census that has been carried out shows an overview of the digital creative industry in Yogyakarta. This data depiction shows the strength and development of the digital creative industry which has a variety of companies in various fields and scales that are gathered in a solid business space.

Given the increasing flow of students entering Yogyakarta, new job opportunities are opening up through companies that enter and are formed. It is not surprising that in the next five years the digital creative industry will become one of the largest contributors to employment, regional income, and national and international works. Yogyakarta which is melting pot the meeting of people from various ethnicities and ethnic groups, expertise, art, and technology has now produced a new work in the form of a digital creative industry.

In the celebration of JDV's first anniversary, Indra Utoyo (Director Innovation and Strategic Portfolio Telkom), Andrei Valadimir Lascu (Studio Manager Gameloft Indonesia) and Joddy Hernady (Senior General Manager Innovation and Design Center Telkom).
