InfraDigital Gets Initial Funding, Focuses on Developing Payment Systems in Schools

InfraDigital Nusantara as the developer of the tuition payment system today (20/2) announced that it has received initial funding (seed funding). No mention was made of the amount of funds obtained, while the investors involved were Appworks Ventures, Fenox Ventures and two people angel investors who happens to work at Google and Netflix.

With this additional capital, 2019 InfraDigital will focus on improving the quality of services across the school network. It is also planned to add several features according to the input given by existing consumers. Funds will also be focused on expanding the reach of market share throughout Indonesia.

Since its launch in early 2018, InfraDigital has managed payments in 90 educational institutions, with managed funds reaching 24 billion Rupiah, involving more than 20 thousand students. When it was first introduced, InfraDigital really targeted the digitization of business processes that were previously done manually, namely (1) payment of tuition fees, (2) payment of apartment bills, and (3) payment of parking.

"Paying school bills should be as easy as buying electricity tokens. Even if parents have an account or not, there is no obstacle to paying on time. Everyone can pay education bills anywhere and anytime through banking services, payment applications, or outlets market. We also help digitize financial management so that it can save costs, time and energy. Schools are easier to manage finances and can focus more on education development," said InfraDigital Founder Ian McKenna.

In the education sector, apart from schools, services InfraDigital can also be used for other institutions, such as universities, tutoring, to Islamic boarding schools. As "payment gateways", InfraDigital works directly with several partners for payment channels, such as Indomaret, Alfamart, BNI, Mandiri, Danamon, Ayopop, Kaspro, and Mobilepulsa.
