iLotte Reintroduces Platform Through Application

Collaborating with Vospay for an installment payment option without a credit card

At the end of 2017, Salim Group and Lotte Group introduced an e-commerce platform iLotte with an investment promise of $100 million (or more than 1,3 trillion Rupiah). In today's media meeting, the company reintroduced its platform by trying to focus on using the platform through applications with the #Ngemalldarihape campaign.

In his presentation, iLotte CMO Ardi Sudarto said that iLotte has used it for the past year to develop technology and increase the number of partners.

"When iLotte was first launched, we only took two partners from well-known brands, now we have eight partners as well as a special category on the platform, namely K-Mall, a special product from Korea."

Currently in iLotte a number of available brand popular ones, such as LEJEL, Planet Sport, Kidz Station, Kinokuniya, Best Denki, Lotte Mart, and Lotte Shopping Avenue.

The new look and spirit that iLotte is trying to present is expected to be able to realize the company's commitment as an e-commerce platform that focuses on well-known brand products.

"At iLotte, we deliberately collaborate with well-known brands that are often found in malls or when shoppers are shopping offline. We hope that we can provide an offline shopping experience through an online platform," said Ardi.

In addition to a selection of goods from brand certain, iLotte tries to provide options same-day delivery within 3 hours specifically for the Jadetabek area. For logistics, apart from utilizing the internal team, iLotte also cooperates with third-party logistics services.

Collaborating with Vospay

For payment options, iLotte cooperates with Vospay, a platform that provides online credit payments for those who do not have a credit card. This service is similar to that offered Kredivo and Akulaku.

"For now, we have just partnered with Vospay, but in the future we will also add payment options in installments from other platforms," said Ardi.

iLotte deliberately does not provide the Cash on Delivery (COD) payment option, as many other services provide, to minimize the occurrence of unilateral transaction cancellations.

Still dominated by consumers living in the Jadetabek area, iLotte's focus is currently increasing the number of partners and active users who make transactions via smartphones.

"Currently, we can say that the number of our users is not large, but with guaranteed product quality and a variety of brand choices, we hope to increase the number of iLotte customers in 2019," said Ardi.
