How to Create a Frame or Frame in Microsoft Word

Frames or frames are needed to decorate some types of documents, for example invitation, brochure, cover paper or poster. How to make a frame in Word can be done with several alternatives, and this time we will discuss the easiest way.

Steps to Create a Frame in Word

  • Start by opening the document you want to frame.
  • Then click menu Design - Page Borders.

  • Then a popup window will appear like this, pay attention to the box on the left there are Box, Shadow, 3-D and Custom options. This is a choice of frame format that will be used later, choose one such as Box.
  • Then on the right there is a select Art which contains various shapes of objects, objects, silhouettes and so on. The art option can be used if you want to have a more artistic border, so other options like style, color and width can be ignored.

  • On the other hand, if you don't want to use a character or object-shaped frame, then you can use a regular line frame. First select the Style, whether you want to use a straight line frame, dashed or a combination.
  • Then there is a width option to determine its size.

  • Because you choose the style and width, then also specify the desired color.

  • Finally, click OK then the result will be like this.

Still a simple border, but at least now you know how to create a frame in Microsoft Word and after this, you can experiment to get a more interesting frame.
