How to Live Streaming on YouTube from Multiple Platforms

YouTube is now one of the most popular video and live streaming platforms in the world. This is because YouTube offers many interesting features. Many characters and video content are broadcast live to greet fans and followers.

Previously, you had to make sure of several conditions to be able to live stream via YouTube, below:

• Have at least a minimum of 50 subscribers
• Have no live streaming restrictions in the last 90 days on your channel
• First verify your youtube channel
• Activating live streaming, you may have to wait 24 hours before you can start the first live stream
• Using an Android device at least version 5.0. and for iPhone and iPad users running at least iOS 8

You can make live streaming using three types of devices, namely mobile, webcam, and encoder. Then, you need to prepare an attractive title, caption, and thumbnail.

After that, here are some types that are selected according to the device you will use:

desktop

• Go to www.youtube.com/dashboard.
• Click the camcorder logo at the top right.
• Click 'Go Live' and select 'Webcam'.
• Add a title and adjust some privacy settings.
• Click 'More' to add descriptions, live chat, monetization, promotions and so on.
• Click 'Next' and select 'Go Live'.
• When finished, select 'EndStream'.

Smartphone

• Open the YouTube application and select the camcorder logo.
• Click 'Go Live'.
• Add a title and adjust some privacy settings.
• Click 'More' to add descriptions, live chat, monetization, promotions and so on.
• After that, click 'show less' and select 'Next'. Select the thumbnail you want.
• Click 'Share' to share the live streaming link on social media.
• Click 'Go Live'.
• When finished, click 'Finish' and 'Ok'.

Encoder

• Download encoding software.
• After that, select the camcorder logo.
• Click 'Go Live' and select 'Stream'.
• Add title, description, category, privacy settings, and thumbnail. Then, click 'Create Stream'.
• Open 'StreamSettings' and copy the stream key that appears.
• Paste the stream key into the encoder.
• Go back to YouTube and click 'Go Live'.
• When finished, click 'EndStream'.
