How to Change PHP Hosting Version on Cpanel

Like in many software, version or generation makes the difference. Because the newer the version, the better the quality, both in terms of support, performance or security.

in many hosting, PHP version generally uses version 7.0, it is rare to find a version lower than this. But, some Plugin, theme and script recommend you to use version 7.2 and above. So, you must change the PHP version according to the recommendations.

  • Login to your hosting Cpanel, then scroll and find the menu MultiPHPManager.

  • Next, put a check mark on the domain you want to change the PHP version for. If you only have one domain, you usually don't need this option.

  • On the right there is a dropdown PHP Version, select the version you want and click the button Apply.

  • Wait until a message like this appears, which indicates the PHP version has been successfully changed.

Now, you can proceed to the next step, namely using the plugin, theme or script that will be used.
