Grab Partnering with Kalbe, Enter the Digital Health Sector

Supporting Kalbe's operations with various services Grab

Grab announced a strategic partnership with PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (Kalbe). Both are committed to improving services with a memorandum of understanding signed by the President Director of Kalbe Vidjongtius and the President Grab Indonesia Ridzki Kramadibrata.

The collaboration that was built by the two was in the form of a synergy of online and offline-based services to become a digital health ecosystem. Kalbe itself now has a number of digital initiatives, such as Klikdokter and Kalbestore.

"Memorandum of understanding with Grab This is a synergy of online and offline-based services that are being developed into a health ecosystem by Kalbe," said Vidjongtius.

Currently Grab already have status Decacorns or startups with a valuation of over $10 billion. Apart from Kalbe, Grab is also exploring expansion in the Southeast Asian healthcare industry through collaboration with Ping an.

As part of this collaboration, Grab will support Kalbe's operational activities through various services. GrabExpress will provide Kalbe product delivery services to consumers, so that consumers can get drugs faster at affordable prices.

GrabReward, user loyalty service Grab, will offer promotion of Kalbe health products. Apart from that there is also Grabads which supports Kalbe in carrying out integrated campaigns through the platform Grab. GrabFresh who will serve Kalbe's product sales online, and Grab for business will support the automation of Kalbe's operational activities to become more efficient.

Represent Grab, Ridzki said that his party welcomed the collaboration which was expected to provide access to quality and affordable health through technology.

Grab say, "Grab was formed with the principle of providing access and services at an affordable cost to people in Southeast Asia in terms of transportation, food and beverage delivery services or food raw materials."

"We believe that all levels of society have the right to get access to quality health at an affordable cost through technology that has the potential to make significant changes to people's lives and the entire community," said Ridzki.
