GoPay and Pluang Create GoInvestation Features, Make Online Gold Investment Easy

GoPay and Pluang inaugurated the GoInvest feature to make it easier for users to start investing in gold online through the platform Gojek. In fact, this feature has already been introduced since March 2020.

Pluang Co-Founder Claudia Kolonas explained that his party saw that there was public awareness and interest to start investing for their future. Gold is classified as having a minimal risk profile and is still the public's favorite investment choice.

"Through GoInvestasi, we provide easy, reliable, and profitable financial solutions for all Indonesian people [..] The partnership with GoPay opens up opportunities for everyone to invest and save," he said in an official statement, Tuesday (9/6).

GoPay Managing Director Budi Gandasoebrata added, in company data, investment is one of the current increasing usage trends. "Therefore, we believe that the transparent investment feature that can be done anytime, anywhere will meet the needs of users," he said.

He explained further, users can buy gold in Pluang starting from 0,01 grams or the equivalent of Rp. 8 thousand at this time, at no additional cost. Whenever needed, users can withdraw gold in the form of cash transferred to their GoPay account. Gold can be minted into 99,99% ANTAM certified gold metal.

In addition to the buy feature, GoInvestasi also provides a sell feature with a 3% difference between buying and selling prices if the transaction is made on the same day.

In terms of security, the two companies are committed to ensuring all transactions on GoInvestasi are monitored by the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (BAPPEBTI) and the gold deposited is guaranteed by PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia (KBI).

Pluang itself is included as one of the portfolios of GoVentures. The startup, previously named EmasDigi, was injected Series A dana funds valued at IDR 42 billion in September 2019. Besides Gojek, Pluang is also working with Bukalapak for the Gold Installment feature.
