Gojek Officially Announces First Phase of Series F Funding

Led by Google, JD.com and Tencent with involvement of Mitsubishi Corporation and Provident Capital

Today (01/2) Gojek officially announced that it has secured the first round of Series F funding led by Google, JD.com and Tencent. Several other investors including Mitsubishi Corporation and Provident Capital are involved in this funding. This funding before already reported, including targets Gojek raised $2 billion from the funding round.

Investment funds will be focused on deepening market penetration in Indonesia and strengthening expansion Gojek in South East Asia. In the release we received, it was emphasized that after the series F funding, the founders will still have control over the decisions and direction of company policies. The goal is to realize a long-term vision Gojek.

Also conveyed, currently the Gross Transaction Value (GTV) Gojek has reached more than $ 9 billion, dominated by Go-Pay transactions that process $ 6,3 billion and Go-Food processes $ 2 billion. Regarding expansion results, Gojek also announced that existence Go-Viet in Vietnam Currently, it has won around 40% of the market share of two-wheeled transportation services since it was launched last August 2018.
