KLAR Reportedly Booked Pre-Series A Funding of More than 91 Billion Rupiah

A number of investors were involved in this funding round, including AC Ventures, Kenangan Fund, East Ventures, Venturra Discovery, to GK-Plug and Play

Dental care startup KLAR is reported to have raised pre-series A funding. A number of investors entered this round, including previous stage investors namely AC Ventures and Memories Fund. The new investors involved include East Ventures, Venturra Discovery, and GK-Plug and Play.

To DailySocial.id, one of the parties involved in this funding confirmed the existence of the round. Meanwhile, according to data reported to the regulator, the value received by KLAR reached $ 6,12 million or the equivalent of IDR 91 billion.

Previously, KLAR had booked seed funding from AC Ventures and Kenangan Fund last June 2021. Fresh funds are used for a number of things, ranging from market research, team strengthening, improvement brand awareness, and the addition of new product lines.

Products and services

KLAR was founded in September 2020 by Ellen Pranata, Adelia Susanto, and David Sugiharta. All three have mutually sustainable backgrounds in this business.

Ellen was previously the director of a dental equipment importing company. Meanwhile, Adelia is an orthodontic specialist who has a lot of experience related to treatment with clear aligners. David himself is a dentist who is an expert in the field prosthetics, aesthetics, and full mouth rehabilitation.

KLAR currently has a number of products and services. In terms of products, they have two mainstays, namely Aligners and Retainers for dental care – produced independently. Meanwhile, the complementary service has a consultation feature online.

With the B2B2C business model, they help empower doctor and clinic partners to become part of their business ecosystem. According to data on the official site, currently there are almost 300 partner dental clinics spread across various cities in Indonesia.

Through the “KLAR Smile” application, dentists and patients can interact and monitor treatment status remotely. This innovation is considered to be a value proposition that differentiates KLAR from other similar players.
