Facebook Upgrades Analytics Features

Facebook has upgraded the analytics dashboard for Facebook Pages, allows marketers and anyone with a Public Profile to get more information about Facebook users' responses to the content and communications they make on Facebook.

These new features include a new graph showing different types of fan interactions over a certain period of time, the number of active fans, and ratings for posts. The effectiveness of the content will be seen from how actively fans interact with the published content, the same applies to status updates.

It is clear that Facebook's future steps will maximize the use of Facebook for public profiles such as politicians, companies, celebrities, and other public figures. Indeed, from the beginning Facebook prohibited the use of its platform for companies or organizations in accordance with Terms and Conditions which requires the user to use a real name instead of a pseudonym. These two strategic steps succeeded in bringing Facebook into a very minimal social network with anonymity and thus able to "sell" it to corporate users and public figures.
