Evermos Wants to Strengthen Innovation in the Halal Economy Industry

To DailySocial, Evermos co-founder Ghufron Mustaqim revealed, before the pandemic, fashion was always the best-selling category. But during a pandemic, demand is quite dynamic. Product home & living, health & herbsand prayer equipment was the dominant category.

"In general, Evermos records month-on-month growth around 20% in 2020. What we have observed from this pandemic are consumers who are worked on by resellers Evermos still have purchasing power, but there is a shift towards demand products purchased by consumers."

One of the strategic steps launched by Evermos during the pandemic was to intensify online training, both in the app (with the Success Reseller Zone feature) and also outside the app such as training via Google Meet or Zoom. Evermos product and service innovation

Currently Evermos has cooperated with about 500 brand owners (more than 90% of them are SMEs), have 50-75 thousand reseller which reaches 504 cities/regencies in Indonesia, and serves around 200-400 thousand consumers. The company has also released a ZISWAF platform named Beramaljariyah.org and has raised a cumulative fund of IDR 27 billion.

"As an example of the funds that have been collected, we have been able to support more than 46 thousand orphans, distribute 55 units of the Koran, help hospitals/health centers with more than 71 PPE," said Ghufron.

Meanwhile, for halal travel, the company had launched an Umrah Package. However, due to the pandemic and no Umrah departures, the service was later postponed. Evermos about 3 months ago has also released a new product, in collaboration with one of the parties, namely the Hajj savings program that can be sold by travelers. resellers. With Rp 1 million, the public can register for Hajj at the Ministry of Religion and secure their portion of the queue.

"In Indonesia, the Hajj queue can be more than 30 years for some provinces. With this product, people don't need to save up to Rp. 25 million before registering for Hajj which can take years. Because anyone who already has Rp. 1 million can register. and get a portion of the queue from the Ministry of Religion," said Ghufron.

Evermos notes that currently there are around 335 resellers Evermos is actively selling these products. For sharia fintech, currently Evermos is still focused on working on deeper cooperation with several platforms fintech sharia.

Company targets and fundraising plans

This year, there are several targets that Evermos wants to achieve, including increasing quantity and quality resellers. Improve network reseller, not only through digital advertising, but also in collaboration with various institutions such as Islamic boarding schools, village governments, and district/city governments.

Asked whether Evermos has a fundraising plan this year, he stated that his party is in the process of exploring fundraising. It was not stated further when the fundraising process was finalized. Previously Evermos has received funding series A $8,25 million (Rp 115 billion) from Jungle Ventures, Shunwei Capital and Alpha JWC Ventures.

"Evermos in a manner naturally more efficient because of our business model. Evermos doesn't have inventory and doesn't burn a lot of money for marketing because we were helped by the troops resellers to market products on Evermos to their neighbors, friends and family. Even from the very beginning contribution margin Evermos is positive, including in 2020 when there is a pandemic and we are accelerating growth," Ghufron concluded.
