Integration Not Completed, Himbara E-Money Product Predicted To Be Available at LinkAja End of March

The integration will be carried out gradually from mid-March

Yesterday, Sunday (3/3), SOE Minister Rini Soemarno announced that LinkAja can now be used as a digital-based payment tool. In his official statement, LinkAja in the future can be used for various types of transactions, including payments for fuel at Pertamina gas stations, purchasing train and Damri tickets, as well as Jiwasraya insurance.

For now, LinkAja can only be used by Tcash users who have merged at the end of last February. Integration of digital payment applications belonging to the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) into LinkAja, such as E-cash (Bank Mandiri), T-Bank (BRI), UniqueQu and Yap! (BNI), will be carried out in stages. This realization is behind the original target in early March.

In his short message to DailySocial, General Manager of BNI's E-Banking Division Anang Fauzi said that the users of UnikQu and Yap! Currently, you can't use LinkAja.

BRI's Director of Information Technology and Operations, Indra Utoyo, also confirmed that his party had not integrated T-Bank customers into LinkAja due to security aspects. This integration will only be carried out in mid-March.

“There are still tests to go through, including the security aspect. From the TCash to LinkAja migration stage, there are several suggestions for improvement. Plus system and security testing to ensure readiness before migrating Himbara bank electronic money customers," he said in a short message.

He emphasized that the migration of bank service customers still complies with the provisions, namely that the migration of data and funds has received customer approval. Customers are expected to have responded to the bank's notification since last February 1st

Indra targets T-Bank to be able to merge into LinkAja and can be enjoyed by users by the end of March.

“So far the agreement with Himbara banks is the same. In terms of migration, [I think] it can be predicted that way,” he said.

LinkAja is a Quick Response (QR) Code-based payment system managed by a joint venture of four state-owned banks (Mandiri, BNI, BRI, and BTN), Telkomsel, Asuransi Jiwasraya, and Pertamina.

Previously, TCash had already merged into the LinkAja application on February 22, which was colored by a number of technical glitch in the application.
