Experiencing Technical Problems, Tcash Delays Conversion to LinkAja Until Early March

Tcash service returned to original mobile app

After experiencing technical problems since Friday (22/2) morning until tonight, Tcash finally postponed the merging of its services to the LinkAja application. Thus, Tcash customers can still use the service as before.

In his official statement, Tcash CEO Danu Wicaksana said after a thorough analysis, his party decided to postpone the migration of the Tcash mobile application to LinkAja until next week.

"We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We will return customers to the Tcash application as before, where customer accounts and balances are ensured to be safe," said Danu.

Prior to this migration, Danu said that his party had made various business and technical preparations. However, technical problems arose during the conversion process Update Tcash application to LinkAja. As a result, it is difficult for customers to login to the LinkAja application.

However, other based services continue to run normally, such as payments with NFC and tokens, top-up balances at Tcash partners and ATMs, to USSD services (*800#) for non-smartphone users.

"Tcash customers who are more than 95 percent using an Android phone, will receive an SMS prompt for Update their application back to the Tcash application. That way they can return to normal transactions. However, iOS customers will not be able to use the Tcash application in the next few days," said Danu.

It's a shame considering that the fusion of Tcash into LinkAja was only inaugurated today. Danu himself has been lined up to lead LinkAja under PT Fintek Karya Nusantara (Finarya).

LinkAja is a Quick Response (QR) Code-based payment system that will be managed by a joint venture of four state-owned banks (Mandiri, BNI, BRI, and BTN), Telkomsel, and Pertamina.

The plan is that after the Tcash merger, there will be server-based e-money platforms owned by state-owned banks, such as BRI's My QR and Yap! from BNI, which will merge into the LinkAja payment system in early March.
