Astranauts Conference 2023 Emerging Tech Session Discusses the Importance of Generative AI and ABCD-X Technology for Business

Astranauts Conference 2023 finally officially held at Menara Astra on Thursday, June 8, 2023. carrying "Building A Sustainable Future Through Technology", the conference is the first event to be held this year, and is also part of a digital competition held by Astra.

One session that was quite busy attended was the session emerging tech which invites On Lee as CEO & CTO of GDP Labs and CTO of GDP Venture. He explores how Generative AI technology is in tool such as ChatGPT, ABCD-X technology related competition.

In his explanation, Generative AI will be interrelated with ABCD-X technology, which stands for AI, Blockchain, Cloud, Data, as well "X" which is claimed to be more than just ABCD technology.

"X here can extra beyond ABCD, like technology mobile, internet of things, web, security, and many more," said On Lee.

"Now everything is accelerated. Technologies such as Generative AI that exist in ChatGPT, for example, will definitely rely on components such as cloud and data. This combined technology is going to be exponential and could create huge opportunities for the businesses that take advantage of it, not just now but in the future."

On Lee also explained several benefits between the relevance of Generative AI and ABCD-X technology for businesses that use it. He claims businesses will have more efficient data processing, safer transactions, increased accessibility, user experience better performance, as well as the growth of business innovation.

He also gave one of the experienced business case studies payroll platform CATAPA, where encountered some problems like manual payrolls ineffective and easy error, still rely entirely on humans, and lack compliance standards for new regulations.

"Now, CATAPA takes advantage of ChatGPT and launches an application based on Generative AI with the capability of supporting ABCD-X technology. This application is called HelpGPT, which helps automate administrative needs, disbursement, as well as answer user frequently asked questions (FAQ)," he explained.

As is well known, the 2023 Astranauts Conference will be held the day after the event Astranauts Demo Day & Awarding 2023, a competition for the development of innovation in the digital and technological fields for circles startup and students in Indonesia.

During the screening period, Astra selected more than 900 innovative ideas from 2.200 applicants. After passing through the curation stage, there were 23 finalists consisting of 12 startups and 11 students. They also have gained sessions mentoring with experts from various industries for two weeks, as well as presenting business concepts and innovation ideas before Astra Directors in a series of Demo Day events.

Meanwhile, after going through a series of judging stages, three winners were selected for each in the startup and student pathways. For startup Fazpass won 1st place, Blitz Electric Mobility won 2nd place, Hundredpersen Anak Nusantara won 3rd place. Meanwhile for students, Karla Bionics won 1st place, Moona won 2nd place, and MyECO won 3rd place.

Apart from session emerging tech, Astranauts Conference 2023 also presents other sessions that are no less interesting, starting from sustainability, edutech, healthtech, agritech, mobility, fintech, logistics, as well media and entertainment hosted by more than 25 tech leader, industry leaders, and regulators to share insight interesting.
