DSLaunchpad 2.0 Startup Acceleration Program Ends, Produces Top 3 Graduates

The whole series of startup acceleration programs DSLaunchpad 2.0 organized by DailySocial.id and supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been completed. This program is an effort to assist and support local startups in accelerating their business scale, while facilitating the founders to learn the principles needed to build a startup.

Registration of participants for this acceleration program opens on October 5, 2020 and closes on October 18, 2020. However, due to high enthusiasm for founders, DailySocial.id and AWS as the organizers had extended the registration period until October 23, 2020. During the registration period, as many as 736 founders have signed up for DSLaunchpad 2.0.

118 Selected Participants Through Curation Process

Through the difficult stages of the curation process, DailySocial.id and AWS succeeded in selecting participants who were entitled to participate in a series of acceleration programs. The curation process was originally planned to select only 100 participants. However, with so many brilliant startup ideas being registered, the organizers decided to facilitate all the best ideas, so the quota was increased to 118 participants selected.

These selected participants are entitled to take part in a series of accelerated programs which include webinars and online 1-on-1 mentoring via Zoom, as well as doing various tasks using platform DSLaunch. In this series of programs, webinars and 1-on-1 mentoring are also held which are delivered by participants experts, with a discussion of Idea Validation by Pandu Sjahrir (Managing Partner of Indies Capital Partners) and Willson Cuaca (Co-Founder of East Ventures), Business Model by Edy Sulistyo (CEO of Go-Play) and Markus Liman Rahardja (VP of Investor Relations & Strategy at BRI Ventures), Product Development & Prototyping by Ivan Arie (Co-Founder & CEO, TaniHub) and Great Bezharie (Co-Founder & CEO, Warung Pintar), as well as Marketing delivered by Shinta Nurfauzia (Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Lemonilo) and Johnny Widodo (CEO of OLX Autos Indonesia). This webinar and mentoring session is expected to be able to broaden the knowledge and insight of the participants regarding the steps that need to be taken in establishing, building, and developing startups based on the knowledge and experience of the mentors. Participants can also ask and consult directly about the obstacles they face when developing a startup to mentors.

Selection of the 10 Best Participants for Demo Day

During the program series, DailySocial.id together with AWS also chose: Top 10 participants based on several assessments, including the activeness of participants when participating in webinars and mentoring, as well as seriousness inprogress updates and perform tasks assigned via the DSLaunch platform. The best participants are entitled to do pitching in the round Demo Day organized by online at the date of December 9 2020.

In this Demo Day round, the participants presented pitch deck startup to the judges consisting of Edy Sulistyo (CEO of Go-Play), Shinta Nurfauzia (Co-CEO & Co-Founder of Lemonilo), Johnny Widodo (CEO of OLX Autos Indonesia), On Lee (CTO of GDP Venture), and Budiman Wikarsa (Head of Startups Ecosystem – Indonesia, AWS), with assessment criteria including: Problems are tried to figure out, The technology is used, Business model, UI / UXand The pitch presentation to determine the best graduates aka Best Graduate DSLaunchpad 2.0.

Top 3 Graduates of DSLaunchpad 2.0

After going through a rigorous judging process, they were chosen Top 3 graduates DSLaunchpad 2.0 program based on pre-defined scoring criteria. Best Graduate I achieved by Schoters, Best Graduate II achieved by Scrapiroand Best Graduate III achieved by Indonesian cliff. The three best graduate startups are entitled to a grand prize in the form of cash worth a total of IDR 100 million, with the distribution of IDR 50 million for Best Graduate I, IDR 30 million for Best Graduate II, and IDR 20 million for Best Graduate III.

The collaboration between DailySocial.id and AWS in organizing the DSLaunchpad 2.0 program is carried out as an effort to encourage the advancement of the startup ecosystem and technology business in Indonesia. Not just looking for winners, but also to facilitate the founder startups in understanding the process of building and developing their business with the right steps.
