Doctor.id Immediately Adds Hospital Review Feature (UPDATED)

Want like thorough reviews for restaurants and hotels

Trying to promote transparency of hospital services, Doctor.id (formerly named ChooseDoctor and has received funding from RingMD) will launch the Hospital Review feature. Later, consumers can provide reviews of health services and hospital facilities, as is generally done for restaurants and hotels.

The lack of awareness of the hospital serving patients openly is one of the reasons for making the hospital review feature on Dokter.id. The habit of the Indonesian people who still rely on the recommendations of good doctors from family, friends and other closest parties is assessed by the Co-Founder of Dokter.id Grace Tahir, who cannot provide hospital recommendations openly.

"We hope that later the reviews on Dokter.id can function like TripAdvisor for health services in Indonesia," said Grace.

Doctor.id, which is currently being used to consult directly with general practitioners who are also in charge of writing articles about health information, tips and introductions to the world of other health, has renovated its website. Changes made include removing features that are considered inappropriate and adding new features, such as this Hospital Review.

This Hospital Review feature will have a similar way of working with restaurant or hotel reviews. Users can provide opinions, criticisms, and customer satisfaction testimonials for the services of doctors, nurses, to treatment while in hospital. This feature will also be equipped with photos of hospitals that can be uploaded by customers, including dirty places, untreated parking, and much more.

In this case, Dokter.id does not have to cooperate with hospitals. Only by using data from hospitals in Indonesia, users can provide reviews directly through Dokter.id. Hospitals registered throughout Indonesia will later be included in the Hospital Review data on Dokter.id, but this feature is still not available for clinics or health centers in residential areas.

Of course we still remember case in 2009 tentang review health services that used to involve a patient and a hospital using the pretext of the ITE Law. If there were 1000 people who gave the same review, this should no longer be an excuse for the hospital not to improve its services.

"Dokter.id is an open platform that provides an opportunity for patients and visitors to share stories, therefore if later there is a review that comes in the form of criticism and complaints from patients or visitors, it is wise if the hospital does not take legal action," said Grace.

Doctor.id will also approach the hospital by creating a paid model or concept, such as providing a special page that will be charged by Doctor.id every month. Later, the hospital can directly answer complaints, questions, and other comments from patients or visitors, add questions that have been adapted to the needs of the hospital, and provide information on doctor's schedules, hospital promotions and others.

"My hope is that in the future when patients come to the hospital, they will see a sticker that says 'this hospital has been reviewed and approved by Dokter.id' and for the patients themselves, we hope to understand that when there is writing, it means that the hospital already has services that provide excellent services. meets patient standards and can be recommended,” said Grace.

Update: Adding Grace Tahir's comments about the approach to the hospital regarding this consumer review
