DigiTalks: Chatbots Chat in Simple

The faces of startup owners and "tech enthusiasts" also color the togetherness in this talkshow

It sounds contradictory, but that's the title that feels right to describe it talkshow DigiTalks, which was held on Wednesday (30/11) yesterday. Draft chatbots may be simple, namely about how computer programs can replace the role of humans in interacting with other humans. There are languages and algorithms contained in artificial intelligence (artificial intelligence or AI) involved in it. However, the complexity of how chatbots do their job in the industry is discussed at DigiTalks in a simple and warm atmosphere, so it doesn't make this system feel grand to implement.

The living room of the Independent Home Business Incubator that night was filled with several tech enthusiasts which kept coming as the rain subsided. After enjoying coffee time, the event titled "Chat Commerce: The Next Frontier of E-Commerce" was opened by the MC, followed by opening speech from Mandiri Capital CEO Eddie Danusaputro.

After a speech from Mandiri Capital as the host of the event, it was the turn of Kata.ai CEO Irzan Raditya who gave the presentation keynote presentation while providing the big picture first of all about the history, benefits, and significance of chatbots' presence in the industry.

According to Irzan, one of the innovations he did was driven by the phenomenon that Customer Support companies that do not serve customers when operating hours are over and also their service tends to be slow at peak hours. Not to mention, company services often use procedures that they find tedious, such as instructions to dial numbers to get us to the relevant department. "Chatbots is the solution for this,” said Irzan.

After the keynote from Irzan, DigiTalks entered the main event, namely talkshow. Event submitted to Editor-in-chief DailySocial Lifestyle Wiku Baskoro who was the moderator that night, with Irzan and Thomas Diong, Chief Product and Data Officer Salesstock, who were the panelists.

The panel discussion begins by mentioning some of the things that have been conveyed by Irzan in the discussion keynote-his. Thomas agrees that chatbots capable of performing tasks that are more advanced than humans, such as one bot that can serve 1000 customers in four minutes. Besides that, chatbots can answer repetitive questions (FAQ) that are commonly thrown by consumers of a company. "So, chatbots can understand the context by not having to look at previous chats when dealing with many consumers,” said Thomas.

The DigiTalks participants showed their curiosity in the question-and-answer session. When the Wiku moderator offered time to ask questions, many participants were seen raising their hands. Although not all who raised their hands had the opportunity to ask questions in the question and answer session, they still had the opportunity and had direct discussions with the speakers in the session networking which at night was the closing of DigiTalks.
