So how do we check if our television is digital or not? But before that, we need to know what digital television is. Here below!

Definition of Digital Television

Digital television (DTV) is a type of television that uses digital modulation (a computer-like data bit format) and a compression system to transmit video, audio and data signals to the television. It is the application of digital technology to broadcast TV systems that was developed in the mid-1990s and tested in the 2000s.

Digital TV differs in many ways from analog TV that came before it, most notably in its systems and capabilities. The emergence of digital television is considered the most significant development since the advent of color television in the 1950s.

Modern digital TVs generally have higher resolution than analog TVs because more data can be sent through an HDTV, and the wider screen ratio (16:9) than narrower analog TVs.

Another advantage of digital television is a more efficient radio frequency spectrum. This is because digital television can broadcast more than five channels per channel on a single analog channel, offering new capabilities not previously available on analog television. Many countries in the world have now switched to digital television since 2000.

In the following, we provide steps on how to check whether the TV is digital or not. As follows!
