Exploring iSeller's Business Plans and Strategies: Targets Up to 3x Growth

Relying on the Omnichannel Commerce platform, iSeller aims to become a super-app for merchants

The growth projection for Indonesia's e-commerce industry is predicted to be even more brilliant. According to a report released by Google-Temasek entitled "e-Conomy SEA 2019", the value of Indonesia's e-commerce business will shoot up to 82 billion dollars by 2025. This positive projection is certainly a sustainable opportunity for the many entities involved in it. Whether it's big businesses, MSME players, to startups that provide support services.

It is also important to note that this large projection was also triggered by the digital transformation movement which has recently become increasingly considered crucial and relevant to the times. To achieve this, there are now many solutions offered, one of which is the one offered by iSeller that carries e-commerce solutions end-to-end for business people to be able 'go-digital' optimally, even with minimal effort.

The solutions referred to above are very diverse. In its ecosystem, iSeller tries to offer 4 (four) interrelated service pillars. Starting from Omnichannel Commerce (sales access feature to various channels through one website) pintu), activation and management payment gateway, online-based operational management facilities, to marketing support.

In the global market, the iSeller service is a bit similar to what is carried out by Shopify and Square, which have market cap billions of dollars. The potential of iSeller can also be similar. Because, despite being relatively young, iSeller has managed to reach quite an impressive milestone.

On paper, until now iSeller has managed to record a transaction growth of 300% globally year-on-year, with a total partnership of more than 30 thousand outlets and more than 10 thousand brands, with a retention rate of 90% since iSeller was founded.

Not surprisingly, iSeller recently plans to accelerate sustainable growth. In addition to continuing to drive growth in business performance figures, iSeller also cooperates with Bank Mandiri, which is also one of iSeller's investors, to expand the scope of services to be more evenly distributed in terms of consumer demographics, to the reach of potential partners or business people. In addition, iSeller has just opened latest integration features which allows partners to manage their business to various popular marketplaces such as; Tokopedia, Shopee, Lazada, to integration with services Grab Food.

Plan “sustainable growth” installed by iSeller is considered to be a challenge as well as an interesting potential. From the perspective of a strategic partner, Eddy as CEO of Mandiri Capital said, “The robustness of the iSeller omni-channel platform is very much in line with Mandiri's vision, strategy and digital innovation in the near future. We believe that strategic collaboration with our merchant ecosystem and Mandiri business group will help iSeller achieve great growth and pave the way to profitability.”

In line with this, Founding Partner of Openspace Ventures, Shane Cesson said, behind the uncertain situation due to the pandemic, iSeller actually has bright potential from the omni-channel service innovation that is its trademark. “The opportunity for omni-channel services in Indonesia is ready to grow rapidly. The Covid-19 pandemic has succeeded in accelerating the adoption of digital payments and also made it clear that online integration for many partners is very important,” said Shane.

In his statement, it is also targeted that iSeller's sustainable growth plan will also lead to several more specific strategic plans. Like the effort fundraiser iSeller which is in the process of closing for Pre-Series B, and also designing strategic partnerships with various parties.

“We are committed to continuously launching new innovations in order to make it easier for Indonesian SME entrepreneurs to carry out digital transformation holistically. Starting from selling in physical stores, online, social media and now marketplaces such as Tokopedia and Shopee. Entrepreneurs can manage all business processes quickly, easily and efficiently in one platform.", Jimmy Petrus as CEO and founder of iSeller explained, "In the next three to five years, we want to be superapp merchant in Indonesia and Asia Pacific," added Jimmy.
