Creative Business Cup 2017 Indonesia Has Been Held, Atnic Chosen to Advance in Global Final

The selection of finalists for the Creative Business Cup (CBC) was held, on August 26, 2017 at the Jakarta Convention Center together with FDGexpo 2017. This Creative Business Cup event has been running for seven times, hoping to foster initiatives from entrepreneurs in the creative industry by helping they validate business ideas, connect with investors and global markets, and enhance innovative competencies.

Here this event is held to select the team that will represent Indonesia in the global final of Creative Business Cup 2017 in Copenhagen, Denmark in November. The big theme this year is connectivity, with the hope that it can foster synergy between industry players, stakeholders in each region, and the business community to develop themselves.

The creative industry is the focus of CBC because it is considered to be able to make a major contribution to global economic growth, and assist in the transformation of various industrial lines. CBC Indonesia itself was first introduced by Ciputra Foundation and Kibar. Last year, the selected finalist "Phinisi Edubox" represented Indonesia in the final, with his work in the form of an educational application that can help the education process in places where internet connectivity is difficult to reach.

This year, CBC Indonesia is organized by the Global Entrepreneurship Network Indonesia in collaboration with the Ciputra Entrepreneurship Center (CEC), the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf), and the Danish Embassy to Indonesia. This selection carries several agendas, one of which is: pitching done by the finalists, to present their ideas and products.

Some of the mentors presented included David Soukhasing (ANGIN), Fajar Hutomo (Bekraf), Andi Budiman (Ideosource), and Astrid Kusumowidagdo (CEC).

Finalist Creative Business Cup 2017 Indonesia

There were 10 finalists in CBC 2017 Indonesia who made presentations pitching at FGDexpo 2017. First there Unixon Printing with the product in the form of an application self-service printing. Both exist Ezycon, producing wall panels for building frameworks that are more effective using recycling styrofoam. The third one is Indexlaw, which is an aggregator platform to connect various parties in legal matters.

Fifth is there Shipper, which is a logistics application to help perpetrators E-commerce get a good freight forwarding service. Sixth is Homedika, a online marketplace for health products and services in Indonesia. Seventh there is a portal developer WhoPeduli.id, which is a service through crowdfunding for financing in the health sector. Next there is Travel.com namely an investment site in the property sector.

Eighth there is Kinetic Medical which brings innovation that utilizes 3D Printing and Laser Cutting technology to design and manufacture medical equipment. Next there is Sirtanio Organic Indonesia which produces organic rice with a social mission to increase farmers' income and improve environmental conditions. And lastly there is Atnic which utilizes IoT technology to assist shrimp farmers in managing water quality to create a sustainable business.

From the results of the judging, Atnic managed to become a National Champion in this event, to further represent Indonesia in the 2017 Creative Business Cup final in Denmark.
