Capabilities Update, BRI Bank Chatbot "Sabrina" Can Be Accessed by Voice Command

At the same time announcing the launch of the Indonesia Mall e-commerce platform to expand market access for SME products fostered by the bank

Bank Rakyat Indonesia announced an increase in the ability of the Sabrina chatbot which can now be accessed by voice commands from previously only text-based. This technology improvement is expected to accelerate customers in finding information about BRI products or services as well as conducting transactions such as ordering cinema tickets.

"What we want to say today is about how Sabrina will be there too via Voice, so it really speeds up information search services about BRI, promo info, assistance, and others," said EVP Digital Center of Excellence BRI Kaspar Situmorang as quoted from SecondsInet.

Sabrina can be accessed via Facebook Messenger and the Telegram application. Just click the "like" and "follow" BRI Bank account or input @BANKBRI_ID_BOT. In the future, BRI will present Sabrina in the WhatsApp application which is planned to be realized at the end of April 2018.

"Around January 20, we launched Sabrina on Messenger. Later this April it will also be available on another platform, namely WhatsApp."

Sabrina has also been embedded in the latest version of Bank BRI's corporate website. In addition, made a number of other changes including the appearance of the interface, accessibility to various features, and contextuality of content. From this update, it is hoped that it will make it easier for customers to get company services.

"With the integration with Sabrina on the corporate website, customers can directly interact actively and get services directly like coming to a BRI Bank office," said Bank BRI Corporate Secretary Bambang Tribaroto separately in his official statement.

In presenting Sabrina, Bank BRI collaborated with an AI development company kata.ai as a technology partner.

In addition to releasing an update on Sabrina's capabilities, Bank BRI also presents the Indonesia Mall e-commerce platform as a result of collaboration between the company and e-commerce companies, such as shopping, Bukalapak, and Lazada. This platform is Bank BRI's weapon in encouraging SMEs to go online, as well as increasing the sales reach of SME products fostered by the company.

Through Indonesia Mall, foster partners only need to upload their product once and the product will be displayed automatically on the e-commerce site. Currently, there are 150 selected SME partners who display their products there.

"We will continue to establish more collaborations with major e-commerce players in order to further increase the exposure of local SME products assisted by BRI," concluded Bambang.
